What's your target nightly hotel budget? Are you looking for a single room or a double?

I stayed at the Wake Up Bogergade almost three years ago. The location was very convenient for our activities and the breakfast was pretty good. The rooms are small; you can only access the bed from one side, even if it sleeps two people. We had connecting rooms, which made it even smaller with the open door. It was fine for that trip, but I'd rather stay some place with more space traveling with other people. I'd gladly stay there again as a solo traveler, though.

For Berlin highly recommend Myer’s Hotel in Prenzlauer Berg. Stayed there last week with family group - all 4 rooms were gorgeous. Breakfast room and gardens are beautiful and relaxing. All-day tea bar, sauna, and weekend live piano in the lounge are distinct bonuses. Hotel yields Great Gatsby vibes - just lovely.

I stayed at Rick's Hotel Birgit and it was lovely. Close to the U and also Berlin Wall.
In Vienna, I have stayed twice at Boutique Hotel Stadthalle. It is a short 10 minute wall from the Westbahnhof which gives you early access to trams and the U. It is a certified green hotel and has a wonderful breakfast. Also, close to restaurants, etc.

We’ve stayed at both the Myers Hotel after a RS Tour of Germany. The hotel is delightful. I loved eating in the garden area. We stayed at Wakeup Copenhagen -Borgergade in 2015 and were pleased to discover after booking there, that it was a RS recommendation. We are staying there again in September of this year—10 years later!. It is quintessentially Scandinavian and yes, the rooms are tiny. It is very conveniently located.
