Wondering about Villa Copenhagen vs 71 Nyhavn for my hotel -- anything from location to vibe, etc. Thanks! I've done some research, but it isn't helping me decide. Thanks!
I haven't been to either, but the Villa Copenhagen is in a very busy area right by the train station. That would be a no for me. Nyhavn is very scenic area. If you haven't looked at the reviews on Booking.com, they can only be left by people who stayed at the property so they tend to be more accurate than other review sites (in my opinion). Both get good marks.
We just finished the Best of Scandinavia tour and stayed in Nyhavn at the Bethel hotel. It's a picturesque location, close to many things in town. We loved hearing the diners out in the evenings. Enjoy!
The Nyhavn area is lovely. We enjoyed Hotel Phoenix on Bredgade a couple of blocks from Nyhavn. Be sure to take a canal cruise from Nyhavn, it gives a great overview of Copenhagen.
I loved Villa Copenhagen. The location was wonderful for our family next to the train station and diagonal to Tivoli. The hotel itself felt like an oasis inside. Very well appointed and comfortable. During our stay the weather was a rare heatwave and having an air-conditioned hotel room which was a rarity in Scandinavia was welcomed. The breakfast buffet and bakery at Villa Copenhagen was amazing. We really enjoyed our time in Denmark and this hotel is one of our favorites that we've stayed at.
I can vouch for the baked goods at Villa Copenhagen’s breakfast from personal experience
