Hello! We’ll arrive from our Baltic cruise in the a.m. and will depart on the ferry to Oslo at 4:30 p.m. so have plenty of time to use public transportation. There is a shuttle bus from the city to the ferry terminal but is there direct transportation from the cruise terminal to the ferry terminal? Thanks for your help.
Your cruise line should be able to answer your question.
Assuming the Cruise terminal is the one at Oceankaj, then yes, bus nr27 will take right to the DFDS terminal. Look it up (and all other public transport) on www.rejseplanen.dk.
As Morten told you, yo can go by Bus 27, but as the trip takes about 15 minutes and leaves every 30 minutes, you will have time on your hand. My memory doesn't serve me to remember if DFDS offers some kind of luggage storage, but I think you should ask them. https://www.visitcopenhagen.com/copenhagen/luggage-storage-and-transportation-services has information of luggage storage.
Much depends on how much baggage you have.
Thanks so much Morten and l.p. I appreciate the info. Looks as though we’ll have plenty of time to stay for awhile at one end of the line or the other before departure time. On the other hand, maybe it would be better to go downtown for a few hours. (We travel very light, one small case each.)
Definitely go down town if you have e few hours, the ferry terminals are rather dull places. From the DFDS Terminal you can jump on bus 26 that will take you to Kongens Nytorv, which is a short walk to Nyhavn, Kongens Have and Rosenborg Castle and other attractions.
