My husband and I are trying to plan our trip for the summer, July. Is there a direct train no stops that would go from Copenhagen to Stockholm? If yes, what time does it depart? If not, is there a particular pairing of trains to make the most of the day/scenery? Thank you in advance

There are direct trains, but they do have stops along the way as they pass several significant towns and cities in Sweden. You can travel with SJ or Snälltåget.
SJ is the larger of the two, with more frequent departures. In recent years SJ have paused service to Copenhagen, so currently you will have to transfer in Malmö. It’s an easy transfer, I have done it with no problems, and you can book the entire trip on the same ticket. The latest update I have found says SJ will resume the direct service in December 2025, but they have postponed that date several times before.
Snälltåget is a smaller company and thus have fewer departures, but they do currently have direct trains from Copenhagen to Stockholm.
