Train from Helsingor

We will be taking the ferry from Helsingborg to Helsingor, then the train to Nordhavn station in Copenhagen. I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out the cost and what type of ticket to buy. I guess their are discount cards you can buy? Does anyone have any idea? I tried their website, but it wasn't in English. I am trying to figure out if a Copenhagen card is worth it or not. Thanks for any input!

I'm not familiar with the Swedish train, but from Helsingor to Copenhagen, the website is http://www.rejseplanen.dk/ and there is an English version (near the top of the page). Based on the website, the ticket should be about 49 DKK (and note that a change is required at Hellerup Station). The Copenhagen Card can be worth it if you are traveling outside of Copenhagen and seeing other museums. It covers almost all travel on the island of Zealand, and the vast majority (though not all) of museums/places of interest in the region. The 24 hour card is kind of expensive (379 DKK). The 120 hour card is a much better value if you are there that long (839 DKK, or about 168/day). It just depends on what you will use it for. But it certainly isn't worth it just for the train ride from Helsingor to Copenhagen. The Copenhagen Card's website lists everything that is included.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but the 49kr price Steve mentions is for Rejsekort (travelcard) holders only. The undiscounted single ticket is 108kr. This night make the Copenhagen Card a better option, especially if you also intend to visit Kronborg Slot in Helsingør (which you should do while there), where the ticket is 140kr. http://kongeligeslotte.dk/en/palaces-and-gardens/kronborg-castle/plan-your-visit-to-kronborg-castle/tickets-to-kronborg-castle.html

Yikes! Thanks for the heads up. I'm just going to get a Copenhagen card and hope it's worth it, it should be.
