How do you make a reservation using your Copenhagen Pass? Is it really necessary. Is it best just to check their web site to find a time to go in person. We are planning on a Thursday visit for 2 people. I see the online option if you pay without the Pass.

When you arrive at Rosenborg Castle, the staff will scan your Copenhagen Card and then give you a timed entrance ticket. So, it’s best to arrive when Rosenborg Castle first opens before the entry line gets too crowded. ( From now until June 1, opening time is 10am. From June 1-September 30, the castle opens at 9am). Otherwise, you could be standing for an hour or so even before entering. If you arrive after noon, you could be assigned a time slot later in the day in which case you would need to return to begin your tour.
Figure on two hours at the castle ( it is just fantastic)! There is a changing-of-the-guard ceremony outside at noon. And be sure to see the Danish Crown Jewels in the vault beneath the castle, which is included with admission.
