Scandic Copenhagen in Copenhagen

I am traveling to Copenhagen next September to take a cruise with NCL and I have booked the Scandic Copenhagen through NCL. It is pricey.

Has anyone stayed at the Scandic Copenhagen? If so, what was your experience and your opinion?

I am curious about the breakfast buffet. Is it as good as some post? Is there really 100 items?

One site says that there is a Jacuzzi but I do not read that on other sites. I know there is a sauna and a gym but is there also a
Jacuzzi.

Scandic is in a very good location, and is not far from most popular attractions in the city. Looking at Booking.com, its about a $275 per night hotel with a 7.6 rating. At that price, you'd think the customer ratings would be higher.
We last stayed in Absalon Hotel, one block and two minutes walking from the train station. It's a $200 completely refurbished hotel with a much higher rating. I can honestly say that Absalon's free breakfast was undoubtedly the finest we have ever seen in any hotel.
Booking.com has a bunch of hotel listings in Copenhagen, and the prices are all over the gambit.

We were also taking a NCL tour around the region. Scandinavia is deadly expensive to travel in, and the cruises are a great bargain in travel through there. Just a cup of coffee or a Coke in a 7-11 is 4.50 Euros. One burger, fries and Coke at TGI Fridays is $30.

Thank you for the info, David.

I have used booking.com for years and am at Genius level. I have made a booking for Copenhagen going through booking.com. I got a good deal at First 27 Hotel or something like that, another Scandinavian chain. I am trying to decide whether I want to stay at Scandic Copenhagen or First 27.

I have plenty of time since I am not sailing until September and I search more than once a day.

I will check out the Absalon.

I cancelled the Scandic Copenhagen and booked the Absalon. I booked four nights and it was about $891 but I have free cancellation and will keep my eye on it to see if I can get a better deal.

I also have First Twenty Seven for four nights for $480. That was a deal I got months ago. I have a basic room. First Twenty Seven is nice but not as nice as the Absalon.

I really love the Andersen Boutique and will keep my eye on it watching for a better price.
