SAS Lounges

Is there a SAS lounge at SFO or an affiliate? When we land in Copenhagen is the lounge accessible and worth a stop?

Go to staralliance.com and use the lounge finder tool. Without more info on your airline,
status level, flight booking class, and itinerary, it's impossible to verify whether you have
access or not.

If you have Priority Pass or a Platinum card, there are other options in both SFO and CPH
as well. At CPH, you have to pay attention to Schengen vs non-Schengen lounge locations.

We have been in the CPH lounge a couple times. we liked it. Food was decent. Didn't seem extra crowded although it was busy. there are showers and a conference room in the rear area. In 2017 we transited through & that lounge was terrible. SAS must have built a newer lounge since because the new one is absolutely fine, We were flying Business so access was OK

I think you need Eurobonus Gold or higher to be able to use the lounge at CPH on arrival

Star Alliance Gold works as well to access any lounge in the Star Alliance network
if you are on an international itinerary, which OP would presumably be on. But you
are correct that if it's an arrival lounge the OP is looking for, Star Gold is not sufficient.

Since we don't know if CPH is final dest or a connection, can't say for sure.

Our SAS plus ticket says we have access. We are flying from SFO to Copenhagen. I know there is a lounge in Copenhagen when we return.I wanted to know if SFO has a lounge or an affiliated lounge. I understand United has a lounge.

Since you've now noted that your lounge access is based on SAS Plus (and I infer
SAS Plus only), the answer is no, unfortunately, there are no lounges in SFO that
you are able to access. And you can only access the SAS lounge in CPH on
departure, not arrival (well, you can try, I suppose, but be prepared to be turned down).

I'm sure you thought your question was clear, but lounge access is a tricky subject
as more types of lounges come into existence and they often have their own rules
for who can go in for free, who can pay to go in, etc. You would not want someone
to say you can have access on the basis of incomplete information, only to get to
the door and be turned away.

The airport website will usually give you the complete list of lounges that exist,
from which you can figure out which ones you can access. And the airline website
will give you information on what lounges they operate, and what lounges you can
access under what auspices.
