We will be in Copenhagen and really want to visit Rosenborg Castle and the Crown Jewels but there are no tickets available the dates we are there (we arrive early afternoon May 28 and depart early morning on June 1), If we get there right when they open at 10:00 do we still have a chance to get in or should we just find other ways to spend our time? Thanks for any advice!
When I try to look, it appears all dates are un-selectable (not only the dates you’re in Copenhagen, but literally all days in the future). Of course, that is not right. It looks like an IT error to me.
If I were you, I’d try again tomorrow - maybe with another browser/device. Hopefully they get it fixed soon.
I remember tickets sold out fast but I don't recall having everything sold out that in advance.
I don't know if related, but a local photographer I follow on Instagram shared there was a small earthquake today in Copenhagen. I just searched online and it was 3.9, small but enough to jolt people. MAYBE the castle disabled the ticket system temporarily until they can assess if there was any damage? Again, this is just a thought.
Hopefully just a temporary glitch and you can get your ticket!
Official site and Get Your Guide seems to have them at this time!
@Marna - they still show greyed out on my end. I tried a different browsers (Chrome and Edge).
This is the official site (and I see plenty of tickets): https://denkongeligesamling.dk/en/rosenborg-castle/tickets/
The .org site is not the official one, probably just earning affiliate money.
Edit: On getyourguide they obviously only sell tickets to times with fewer visitors, only Sept-June, only Mon-Thur and only after 1pm.
Seems like tickets are back online now. No longer greyed out.
Thanks all so much for checking into this and sharing the official ticket website! I appreciate the people on this forum so much for their extensive knowledge and willingness to help!! I'll book my tickets for May 31st today!
Yay! So happy for you, cmhjns. Thanks for letting us know.
Excellent! I think we truly enjoy learning from others, and working on challenges and learning logistics and navigation of websites! Enjoy!
