We are traveling through Sweeden and Denmark as part of Volvo oversees delivery. I'm interested in making a loop through Denmark - taking ferry from Gothenburg to Frederiskhavn then driving down to Copenhagen and back up to Gothenburg. Would love any recommendations about cities to stop in for sights or overnight. We have the car Thursday afternoon through Wednesday AM.

Meaning no offense to Sweden, I would focus your sightseeing time on Denmark. There's lots you could see besides Copenhagen. I'd give high marks to these Danish sites that are detailed in Rick's Scandinavia book: Den Gamle By open air museum at Aarhus (and Moesgard prehistory museum also sounds good); Odense for H C Anderson house; car ferry from Svendborg to Aero island for an overnight; several sites listed as "near Copenhagen"on the Zealand peninsula (or they are easy day trips from Copenhagen if you miss them this time).
