Thinking of renting a car in Ystad Sweden and returning it in Copenhagen ( want to drive across bridge ) We are flying into Copenhagen, training to Ystad for 2 nights and then retrning to Copenhagen.
Are there high fees involved in returning /crossing into the second country. Thanks
The one time we rented in Norway and returned the car in Copenhagen, it cost an extra $500.
But you could easily check what it would be for you by working through the reservation form on Auto Europe.
The other thing to consider is that the bridge toll is around 50 EUR. If you want to travel over the bridge, you might check out the bus.

Diane, the fees are for returning the car in a different country, not for crossing into the another country. Maybe you should rent and return the car in Copenhagen, driving to and from Ystad.
Or take the train to and from Sweden (same bridge!), and just rent locally in Sweden.
Chris F, there is indeed a toll to drive over the bridge: https://www.oresundsbron.com/en/prices If you drive both ways, then you'll pay that twice.
And the train crosses the bridge on the lower level, which means there's not much of a view. If you want to see the bridge from the bridge, you need to drive or take a bus.
