Hello, all- the flight I booked to and from Spain just happens to have a very long (19 hour) layover in Copenhagen. I won't get in until around 10pm, and my flight leaves the next day at 2:30 pm. Is there anything I can do in that amount of time if I get up very early the morning of my flight? It will be a Saturday morning. I have already reserved a room at the airport hotel, which is close to metro lines. It might just be an exercise in frustration, but I thought it was worth a try, rather than just hanging out in an airport. If it matters, I'm a single, female traveler. Thanks!
The train from the airport into the city is great.
My favorite area of the city was Nyhaven, where you see a port for many sailing ships. Many good restaurants there.
You could spend a few hours, start early. You can walk from the train station to Nyhaven. Also, you can do a short harbor cruise, but watch your time.
There's a lot of options. The city centre is 15 minutes from the airport by either train or metro.
Sunrise between 8 AM (start of February) and 7 AM (end of February) - though museums and attractions typically will not open before 10 AM. But if you want, you can of course walk around the city on foot earlier, grab breakfast at a café/bakery if you don't eat at the hotel, etc.
Visit Copenhagen has a lot of inspiration, and I'm you can find something to do for a couple of hours before your next flight.
