Mons Klint day trip

My husband and I would love to spend a half day hiking at Mons Klint. Trains are too complicated, private tours are crazy expensive and my husband does not want to rent a car. There are multiple trips on Viator, Getyourguide, Peek and a few others which combine the Forest Tower. Does anyone have experience with any of these? It seems some are a max of 50 people (ugh) and some say 15. I am just curious if there is flexibility at Mons Klint so we can spend time hiking or if it is a group thing? We are going in the second half of August.
Thanks for any input.

Almost 4 hours to get there and 2 transfers versus less than two hours by car/van

How about Stevns Klint which is not so far away?

Regarding your husband's concern: renting and driving a car in Denmark is relatively easy - and outside Copenhagen very relaxed.

If sun is forecasted the cliffs get sun for photos in the morning hours.

I don't where you've found those times, but my recommendation is to avoid that site, because those times have very little to do with reality. Two hours by car is on the optimistic side. And by train it's less than an hour to Vordingborg from where you can continue to Stege by bus. The fastest options from Copenhagen to Stege with a change in Vordingborg takes 1:48. From Stege there is a free bus that takes you around Møn, but you can also take a taxi from Stege to Møns klint. Or see if you can find a tour from either Vordingborg or Stege. Or rent a car in Vordingborg.
