Lego House and Legoland splitting time

I am interested in visiting Lego House and possibly Legoland in Billund for a day sometime in the second week of July this year.

I would be going myself with my two kids, 7 and 11.

It looks like both sites are open from 10:00-19:00 that week. Lego Square (roof terraces with playgrounds) at Lego House is open slightly longer hours: 9:30-20:00. Legoland "attractions" apparently stop at 18:00 (what does that mean is open between 18-19?).

If I had unlimited time I would probably plan a day at each, but I'm only going to have a day for the whole visit.

I plan to prioritize a visit to Lego House based on interests, but I am wondering about splitting time between the two sites.

Is it worth going to Legoland even if it's somewhat brief?
We haven't been to any Legoland before.
I'm sure we'd have fun on the rides, but I feel like we can enjoy rides at other places, including Tivoli, so my thought is to focus on the more "Lego stuff" (hence my preference for Lego House).
Is Miniland very big/impressive?
Brick Street strikes me as similar to what would be experienced at Lego House; how do they compare?
In a short visit, what would you prioritize at Legoland?

Thanks!

I would prioritize the Lego House, it's really a really cool experience and you could spend a few hours there and then whatever time you have left in your day head over to Legoland for some rides. We covered both in one day with my kids.

We had been to Legoland in Florida many years earlier and Legoland in Denmark was very similar. You are right that rides area fun but you can enjoy rides at Tivoli and really any other amusement park. And Legoland is technically not owned by Lego but by a British group, Merlin Entertainment however in 2019 the investment group that owns Lego Group bought a majority share in Merlin Merlin Entertainment is the same company that owns the Lego Discovery Centers which is another attraction in some parts of the US.

Mini-land is fun to see at Legoland but the rides are mostly underwhelming. I believe when we went to Lego House you had to buy timed entry tickets as I think they do this like many places for crowd control. I would never suggest staying at one of the Lego Hotels in Billund, that was madness!
