Hello,
This coming June, I will be taking a Baltics Cruise. It will stop in Copenhagen for the day (7am to 5pm). I have been to Copenhagen before and have seen many of the sites.
So, I am wondering if taking a train to see Kronborg Castle would be a fun idea. I looked on www.rome2rio.com and found a train (1 hour travel time) that goes to Kronborg plus and additional 20 minute walk to the castle.
I feel that I could take a train around 8 am, the castle opens at 10 am. Possibly leave around 12:30/1pm. Then, I'd arrive back in Copenhagen around 2 pm.
I could still get in 2 hours at a couple of favorite spots and then get back on the ship by 4:30 pm-ish.
Any thoughts about this plan?
Hoping somebody out there has tried going to Kronborg Castle.
Thank you in advance!
Good plan :-)
If you feel you have time to spare and you are interested in the merchant navy you might look at the maritime museum which is close to Kronborg: http://mfs.dk/en/
Personally I found the maritime museum much more interesting than Kronborg but each to his own :-)

That should work out well I think. If you want to spend a little more time in Helsignor and less in Copenhagen, there is a great maritime museum right near Kronborg Castle too. Just check the train times, but they are pretty frequent if I recall correctly.
