Kopenhamn H to Stockholm Central - questions

I am e-ticketed for travel from Kopenhamn H to Stockholm.

The only option available for the day I needed involved a very quick (12 minutes) connection in Lund.

So...
My ticket from Kopenhamn H to Lund Central has no QR code.
I have a QR code and seat assignment from Lund Central to Stockholm Central.

Questions --
1. May I just jump on an earlier train from Kopenhamn H to Lund with that ticket (to make my connection less rushed)?
2. Do I have to scan the bar code before I get on the train in Lund, or do I just wait for someone to check my ticket on board.

Thanks very much for any advice.

What day is your travel? I find it odd that there would be only one option. Where did you buy your ticket?

Are you sure you are interpreting your tickets correctly? Normally the QR code is what is read by the conductor on the train. So what will you show between Copenhagen and Lund? There must be something that permits the conductor to verify your ticket is genuine.

Anyway, I would not worry to much about the change of trains. 12 minutes is rather generous. A "very quick" connection would be 2 minutes.

The Oresundtrains are just commuter trains, so your ticket would indeed be good for an earlier train. So you can hop on an earlier train. For main line trains in Sweden there are no pre boarding checks, so in Lund you just walk from one train to another. Its not a big station. Looking at today I see that trains from Copenhagen usually arrive on track 4 or 5 in Lund, and that the train to Stockholm is usually on track 4. That is all on the same platform...

I bought w the SJ.se app.

It is a weekend when they have limited service due to maintenance, thus the required connection.

I really appreciate your help and assurance that 12 minutes are not as quick as they sound.

On the SJ website you can look up departure and arrival platforms in advance. Go to www.sj.se and check "traffic info".
And have a look at the Lund station on google maps. You will see that it is a compact, well laid out station.

I am currently on the train to Stockholm. From Lund this morning, we left from track 5 (4 and 5 share a platform). A 12-minute transfer in Lund is more than enough time, even if your train coming in from Copenhagen is delayed a few minutes (our train from Copenhagen to Lund was about 5 minutes late getting in).

NO, you can not board an earlier train! Your ticket is only valid on the departure printed on the ticket. If you really want to take an earlier train, speak to the staff before you board the Öresundståg in Copenhagen.

12 minutes is plenty of time in Lund, the change is usually very easy with both trains using the same platform. It's usually a matter of stepping out of one train, waiting a while, and then boarding the next train. Even if you have to walk to another platform it's plenty of time. If you haven't done it already, install the SJ app on your phone and add your ticket to it. That way you will get live traffic information, including which tracks are used in Lund.

There is no faff needed at the station in Lund, just find the right coach and board the train, then find your seat. Someone might check your ticket onboard, but probably not if you're sitting in your seat.

(And questions about a change in Sweden might have been better suited for the Sweden-forum.)

Thanks Anders! I wasn't aware of that rule, so ignore my previous post. You can take an earlier Öresundståg.

I made the connection... barely, but I made it (and had not jumped on an earlier train).

I certainly appreciate all the help here. Thank you.
