How many days in Copenhagen?

Going to Copenhagen/Stockholm - I have 8 days ( and maybe half a day on arrival) and no idea how to split it up, can anyone help me? Is 4.5 days in Copenhagen and 3.5 in Stockholm ok? The half day for each is travel periods - plane landing & train. Or should I do it the other way around???

I did 6 nights in each city - I don't travel with pace, I just like walking around and hanging out - zero agenda.

Lay out your must-sees for each city and it may become obvious. Check for any days of the week or holidays on which museums or venues on your list are closed.

Unless you have any special interests, I'd recommend splitting the time equally between Copenhagen and Stockholm.

Copenhagen is a beautiful and fun city and the more time you’re there, the more you appreciate how much there is to see. It’s like an open-air architectural museum surrounded by water. And much more.
Either Copenhagen or Stockholm are worth more time than 4 days— and if the weather is sunny and 72 degrees like it was last September when I was there- you’ll never want to leave.

I assume you are in the planning stage.
My suggestion:
Fly into Copenhagen. Stay three nights. Take a commuter train to Malmö and rent a car in Sweden. Drive to Stockholm via Skåne: Malmö-Ystad-Ales Stenar-Simrishamn-follow the Baltic Coast up to Kalmar. Spend the night in Kalmar. From Kalmar drive to Stockholm and drop off your car. Spend 3 nights in Stockholm. Take the train back to Copenhagen the day before you leave.
Good luck.
