hotels in copenhagen near Oceankaj

We are taking a Baltic cruise May 10, 2019 which begins in Copenhagen. Can you recommend a reasonable hotel that is near the Oceankaj departure point? Do hotels have shuttles to the pier? We would also need to get from airport to the hotel. Thanks.

Prior to a Baltic cruise in 2014, we stayed in the central area (about 15 minutes taxi ride to Oceankaj) at the Best Western Plus Copenhagen City. Hotel did not have a shuttle to the cruise terminal. You can take the Metro or a taxi from the airport to the hotel.

As we enjoyed pre-cruise time in Copenhagen, we preferred to stay in the central area where we could walk to sites like Nyhavn, etc.

Hi,

The area near Oceankaj is not that interesting, and there's no hotels in its immediate surroundings. You need to move towards the city to find some hotels. I don't know about a shuttle bus from hotels to the Oceankaj terminal, but Copenhagen is well connected by public transport, so that's an option. Check www.journeyplanner.dk for timetables and ticket prices.
There's a guide on how to get to/from the cruise terminals here: https://www.visitcopenhagen.com/cruisecopenhagen/copenhagen/transportation-and-cruise-terminals

I agree that you should try to stay in central Copenhagen.

From airport to hotel you can take the metro or the train. Use https://www.rejseplanen.dk/webapp/index.html?language=en_EN to find your way, but if you have loads of baggage try to find a hotel near a station.

From hotel to Oceankaj you can take the S-train or a bus (again: use rejseplanen), but if you have loads of baggage, you might be better of with a taxi. http://taxapriser.dk/ can be used to calculate the expected price, but it is only in Danish. The calculated price from center to Oceankaj is 157 DKK (It can be more expensive in the evening). All taxis accept most international credit cards.

There is an extremely nice apartment hotel that is closest to Oceankaj. It is called Stay Seaport and you might get an affordable rate going through booking.com or the hotel's website and special offers. The area has been getting rehabilitated and is showing a lot of promise.

Copenhagen does not have shuttle service like we do in the states but public transportation is very good.
I have not stayed there myself but reviews are very good and I was considering a stay.

I also want to add that there are a few hotels that offer shuttle service to Oceankaj but these hotels tend to be higher dollar.

The Marriott offers shuttle service at a few hotels that it owns in Copenhagen. You have to read the entire description of the hotel and services / amenities.

You can go to VisitCopenhagen. Go to the bottom of the page and click on cruises. Then click on cruise guests and then click on hotels. You will find a list of recommended hotels. If you read the different descriptions, you will find a very few that offer shuttle service to the port.
