Hotels in Copenhagen

Where does Rick S. or anyone else for that matter recommend to stay in Copenhagen? (hotels)

We stayed at the Kong Arthur hotel, which is a five minute walk to the Norreport station (from there, you can get anywhere in Copenhagen or Zealand, and to/from the airport). We liked it quite a bit, and found it to be very affordable for the area. It is walkable to a lot, very close to the Rosenborg Slot. It has a "cozy hour" between 5 and 6 where you get a free wine/beer/non-alcoholic beverage. We didn't have the breakfast there. But I would highly recommend the hotel, and would definitely stay there again. Also, I believe if you book directly on the hotel website, you get free access to their spa (not really our thing, but some might enjoy it).

There are lots of other great hotels though.

Hotel Nora, a 10-minute walk from the Norreport station, which has a direct Metro line (M2) from the airport, direct bus connection (#25) to the cruise port, and train or bus connections to pretty much everywhere else. The hotel has large, comfortable rooms with ENORMOUS bathrooms (by European standards, at least), lots of electrical outlets, is clean, quiet, and has a very friendly (and fluently English-speaking) staff. A room runs about 1100 Kr and includes a lavish breakfast. The only drawback is that it lacks an elevator.
