Hotel delemma - Ibsens or Bethel in Copenhagen?

We're looking at a stay in Copenhagen the 3rd week in August (not ideal, but that's when the cruise leaves). We have a choice for our stay of 2 RS recommended hotels: Ibsens or Bethel. We were briefly in Copenhagen last year and enjoyed the Nyhavn area, where the Bethel is located, and think we would love being near the canals, and water but know that food options in the area are, for us, very expensive. ($11USD for 2 coffees, check!) Does anyone have thoughts about either of the 2 hotels and their neighborhoods (convenience, current hotel condition, etc.) and possible options for eating more modestly (snacks, grocery stores for sandwiches, food trucks, etc. ) meatless (fish is OK) in either neighborhood?

Thanks for any advice!

We stayed in Hotel Absalom which is 1 block from the train station and just behind the Tivoli. All the rooms have been completely redone and it is very contemporary.
The free breakfast was the best breakfast we have experienced in in any hotel in the world. We wouldn't stay anywhere else, especially when the train to the airport is 5 minutes away.
