We have a very tight one hour connection in late August between flights in Copenhagen. What has been your experience going through Copenhagen EES ? Have there been long lines ? Has been it been smooth? Were you able to make a tight connection
I had long lines in May. They do pull people out of line when it is close to boarding time. So, keep your eyes out for the airport staff.
Yesterday I read in the news that the police will now be allocating more resources to immigration at CPH, to address the growing lines after the introduction of EES. The effects are yet to be seen, but they’re doing something about it. By the time you transfer through CPH in August, the immigration lines will probably not be as long anymore.
Still a good idea to keep an eye out for airport staff waving people with short transfers to the front of the line though, as 1 hour doesn't leave much margin for error (but should be doable).
I flew into Copenhagen two weeks ago arriving on a Friday morning. I was second in line at passport control and the process was a breeze. I’m on an international flight now having just departed Copenhagen. I was 14th in line at passport control with three agents working. Again it was very efficient and quite fast. Photo, fingerprints, and agent conversation took less than three minutes.
Take note that there are a number of passport control areas throughout the airport. Experiences may be vastly different.
