We arrive at CPH and will need to get from there to our hotel...71 Nyhavn and our travel companions will need to get to Admiral Hotel.
What is the best way to do that, please? Metro, train, taxi? Thank you.

"Best" is of course subjective. To me, the best would be the metro line from the airport. It stops at Kongens Nytorv Station, from where it's a short walk to both of those hotels. It costs 30 DKK per person, or may be covered if you are going to buy a public transport pass anyway.
A taxi will cost 300-ish DKK for a standard car, give or take depending on route, traffic, day of week/time of day (depending on group size you may need a slightly more expensive taxi van).
Total travel time door to door is about the same.
Though I can definitively say the train is not the best. That would be a detour for this specific journey, require a transfer and take longer.
