The new 'Metro City Circle Line' (M3) is expected to open this Sunday, September 29, 2019.
To celebrate the opening of the new metro line, the public transportation companies in Copenhagen have decided to offer free public transport on Sunday, September 29 from 00:01 to 23:59. The free public transportation offer includes:
- All metro lines, including the new circle line
- All S-trains
- The harbour buses
- Bus lines that operate either entirely or partially in the municiaplities of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg (see the link below)
Important: You still have to pay for a ticket to use other types of public transportation, such as Local-, Regional- and InterCity trains and bus lines that aren't included in the offer.
