Ferry to Aero

My family of four will be visiting Denmark in July and I'm trying to determine if it's necessary to book a ferry from Svendborg to Aero in advance. If yes, then how far in advance would you recommend? We will be walking onto the ferry (no car, no bikes) if that helps. Thanks

Thank you MarkK. I had been on the website, but did not see that notice. And the link you provided also helped as it spelled out that if we cannot make our ferry, we can move our departure to a later time without penalty.
