Hej! My wife and I will be travelling with our 3 teens to Denmark in late August. I have a rough itinerary down and would like comments from people who know the country. We are there for 2 weeks and plan to spend the 1st week in Copenhagen. Will just use local transit for the first week, likely using the Copenhagen Card. Will be staying in Airbnbs for the duration. Want to see a couple of castles, art galleries, Tivoli, Resistance Museum and a few other things. We like to walk around a lot and just explore.
Then we plan to rent a car and drive to the Billund area for 4 nights. We have family there who we will visit for a day. Also plan to visit Ribe for a day, and then Lego House and explore Billund for another day.
Then we travel up north for 3 nights. Looking at renting something in one of the smaller resort towns. We want to hit Hirstals to go to the aquarium, Skagen, and spend some time exploring the local areas.
Then will drive into Aalborg and fly back to Copenhagen to return home.
Kids have a variety of interests - military history, biology (particularly marine) and the arts. We want to make sure they are all getting a chance to indulge in their interests. One is vegetarian.
Thoughts? Is any of this not worth doing, or are we missing anything we should consider?
Thanks in advance!
