Family Friendly hotel in Copenhagen?

Hi! We are planning to stay in Copenhagen this fall with 9-year-old twins. Does anyone know of a good family friendly hotel near the city center (train station, Tivoli Gargens, Stroget...) ? Perhaps one that is reasonably priced (or as budget friendly as possible?) Thanks!

I can't gurantee this will fit your criterea, but look into Ibsens Hotel. I mention it because there seemed to be many families in the breakfast room when I stayed, and my single room was surprisingly huge. It's not right in the vicinity of Tivoli, but very close to the Nørreport metro stop.

I don't sleep in fancy places, clean and quiet are my primary criteria.

For kids (or for couples), I would choose something around Kongens Nytorv (north end of the Stroget) over the area around the train station. It's cleaner, quieter and your children won't be exposed to the seediest part of Copenhagen (around the train station). Plus, it's faster and easier to get to Kongens Nytorv from the airport using the Metro - maybe 15 minutes max vs. about 20-25 on the train to the downtown station.

In that area, the hotels I liked were the Phoenix, the Strand, and the Opera. The Phoenix is the most upscale (really close to Amalienborg Palace) and has about the best breakfast I've had in Europe. The Strand is very nice and seems to be a little newer. The Opera is the most in need of renovation, but it's the best located and perfectly fine.

I was able to find all three at 125 euro per night for a double, including breakfast (which is usually extra in Scandinavia). I considered that a pretty decent deal for the area.
