Experiences Using Copenhagen Card

we will be in Copenhagen in mid May 2026 for almost a week and r considering getting the Card. I understand you cannot prebook or pre order attraction tickets online but have to show up in person the day of to secure tickets.. Has anyone experienced being unable to get tix at popular sites or finding sites sold out for the day due to this? Hesitant to buy the Card and run into this. BTW the Paris Museum Card allows you to book online prior to ur visit and avoid this.
Thanks, Jim S. (Chicago)

Hello,
We were in Copenhagen in the middle of August, which I assume would be busier than May, and had no trouble getting in to places using the Copenhagen card. Most attractions do not require timeslots, and the couple that did, we had no trouble getting a booking with the card on the day of. Climbing the stairs at the Church of Our Saviour (high recommendation) sold out in the evening we went, but I was able to get a timeslot an hour beforehand, and it was only people showing up without realizing a booking was required who were getting turned away. Same with the Carlsberg experience...booked a timeslot while on our way to it and had no troubles.

Essentially every other museum or gallery was a walk in with no issues. I'd say you're OK.

For what it's worth, given the cost of a daily transit pass being high, and the amount of attractions we used our card on, I calculated approximately $300 CAD per person saved for the 5 days we used the card.

Cheers,
