My wife and I will be in Denmark May 27-June 5 and open to spending a couple of days e-biking outside of Copenhagen. We will spend a couple of days in Copenhagen then venture out for a few days and would like to include e-biking. What areas are particularly good for biking outside of Copenhagen. As you can guess, we are open to different places but not wanting to venture too far away from the capital because of time restraints. We want to explore smaller towns, villages and nature. We are in our 70s and healthy for our age. Thanks for your help.

Hi, as no one has replied in over a week, I thought I’d throw in my two cents worth (if it’s worth even that). We were in Copenhagen for several days/nights three years ago, plus some daytrips as far north as Helsigør and as far west as Roskilde. Although we took trains and buses that trip, Copenhagen and Denmark seemed to be about the biggest bicycle center anywhere (right up there with Belgium and Netherlands), and Denmark would offer good biking - “e” or otherwise.
Although we didn’t do any pedaling that trip, I imagine you’d be renting your e-bikes, and if you locate some likely bike shops in/around Copenhagen for that, they would probably have lots of expert suggestions for good areas for riding. Communicate via e-mail, or contact them through their Website, while you’re looking for where to rent your bikes. The responses might help you pick the place to get them. Again, my 2 cents.
Hope you have a great trip, and can get good e-bike routes (maybe best from locals).

Copenhagen is a wonderful biking town. Within the city itself we always felt like we were riding in a parade of bikes--a good thing. Within the city itself parts of Indre By, Amager Ost and Amager Vest, and Christianhavn were attractive areas for biking, combining nature with repurposed industrial and waterfront locales.
