My husband and I are taking a Baltic cruise in June 2018 that departs/arrives in Copenhagen. After the cruise, we are thinking about taking a driving tour (or train) from Copenhagen to Berlin by way of Hamburg. We would then fly from Berlin back to Copenhagen. Beyond a stay of a few days in Hamburg and Berlin, what else would you recommend along the way? Any other advice? We are just getting started in the planning.
Thanks!
You might find the return charges on the rental car to be excessive.
Many of the cruises stop at Warnemunde and a train from there takes trave!ers into Berlin.
When we got off a cruise in Copenhagen, we flew over to Oslo where we picked up the Norway in a Nutshell train ride to a fast ferry through the fjords and ended up in Bergen, Norway. We recommend it highly.
If you want to see Berlin, I would suggest flying down there.
Thank you! We are not set on Germany and are open to suggestions.
Hi,
Hamburg, Schwerin, Lübeck, Eutin/Holstein...all logistically feasible. Take the train from Hamburg Hbf to Schwerin.
