Denmark Opens to Fully Vaccinated US and UK Travelers Effective June 5

This appears to be an official announcement of the opening of Denmark to fully vaccinated US and UK
travelers on June 5, with no requirement for testing or isolation, however I see that the linked web page showing entry requirements hasn't been updated yet. I definitely wouldn't buy an airline ticket today.

Excellent!!! Thanks for the info. I've started a Plan B list in case Switzerland is not open come Sept.

What a difference a year makes! Almost exactly a year to the day last year, we were going to be arriving in Copenhagen, on a big retirement Scandinavia trip. That got siderailed, and now we’re looking at Italy this fall. We were ready once, but couldn’t go to Denmark. Now Denmark’s going to be ready, but we aren’t. Timing’s everything, as they say. Have a great time, anyone heading to Denmark soon!

I didn't find it in the link, could a vaccinated American use Denmark as a spring board for the rest of the EU without having to test to move about Europe?

I imagine that will be country-dependent. I read an article about Slovenia today that suggested it would be open to Americans coming from other EU countries, but there weren't enough details for me to feel comfortable posting that information. I don't even know that there are flights from Copenhagen to Ljubljana.

I am hopeful we'll know more in a week or two. Then we just have to hope the variants don't push things out of control.

No, there are very few flights to Ljubljana overall since Adria went bankrupt. You could however fly via Zürich or Frankfurt.

We had hoped to do a 10th anniversary trip to Europe this summer but with all the unknowns we have held off on planning. I’m starting to think that Copenhagen (flying through Iceland) might be a viable option based on what I am reading. Thank you!
