I will be in Copenhagen a week from today and have the big arrangements made but now small questions are popping up and my travel agent is on her own vacation! Today I'm wondering about how to plug in my phone for charging. Will I need an adapter?
Put the charger in a socket. If your charger doesn't have a europlug you will need an adapter.
Yes, you will need an adapter for the wall socket. An American plug won’t work in a European outlet otherwise. Perhaps the OP’s concern is the different electrical power, AC v/ DC. While some appliances need a converter - changing the power - iPhones (and I presume other cell phone brands) can and do operate on both the US and the European standard. No need for a converter, just an adapter for the plug. When I have traveled in Europe numerous times, both my iPad and my iPhone work fine. Just plug it into the charger, and the charger in the adapter. No problems.
thanks for your input, I've now borrowed 3 adapters!
