We will be visiting Copenhagen March 22-28. Four adults and 2 kiddos age 2 and 4. Looking for some fun things to take the kids to that are unique to Denmark (Copenhagen) that are available in March. We will not have a car. Walking and using public transportation. TIA
Hi. We just got back from Denmark a couple of weeks ago. We were visiting my Nephew and Their 1 year old daughter.
I suspect that your 2 year old will be pretty easy. When my children were that age I would just put them in our child-backpack and they were content to go anywhere I went. The four year old may be a bit harder to keep entertained.
On this trip we took the train to Helsingor and visited the castle. Easy train ride from Copenhagen's main station. Our great niece (Is that a real word?) was fine and I think you could keep a four year old busy for a few hours.
Also The National Museum in Copehagen has a kid's Section too. You might look into that.
There is also the Roskilde Viking Ship museum. It has outdoor activities as well as indoor. It's easy enough to get to by train as well. Wish I could be of more help.
Have a great trip
Thank you! Our 4 yo granddaughter is quite inquisitive and would probably love both museums and the castle!
If you go to Helsingør (Elsinore) to visit Kronborg, also visit https://mfs.dk/en. IMO it is much more interesting than Kronborg.
Tivoli Gardens is great for a family. There are many rides for children and gorgeous flowers in a lovely setting. It is open from March 22 on for the Easter season. There are several fun food options there also.
Unfortunately Tivoli opens April 4 in 2025
