Copenhagen to Oslo - ferry option. is it scenic? or just...boring scenic?

we're considering taking the ferry from CPH to Oslo. Primarily because it would be a "fun" activity, but also on the off-chance that we'll see some really nice sights. Unfortunately, the reviews online seem to be quite mixed regarding exactly how nice the view is - so my impression is that likely the views aren't anything special (especially compared to what you would be seeing after exploring norway properly).

can anyone confirm if there's anything nice to see? we're primarily taking the ferry:
1. fun and convenient
2. potential scenery

Thanks

Hi,

I think there is some nice scenery, mostly when sailing through Oslo Fjord. But there won't be mountains or cliffsides towering above you. It's not that kind of fjord. You'll have to go elsewhere in Norway for those kind of views.

So if you expect nice and pleasant, rather than out-of-this-world spectacular, then my opinion is that reality will match your expectations.

If you are going between Copenhagen and Oslo, it's a nice way to travel, and certainly more memorable than getting on a flight. But I wouldn't take the ferry just for the ferry ride itself.
