Does anyone have a recommendation for best way to get from Copenhagen to Aeroskobing via public trans? Having trouble figuring it out.

You take the train to Svendborg and change there, that's as far as you can go by train.

Use https://www.rejseplanen.dk/webapp/?language=en_EN, type in your address in Copenhagen and your address on Aeroe, and your desired departure time (or arrival time).
When you type in the adresses using ae and oe, they will be listed with the Danish spelling (æ and ø).
Then you press "Find" and you get a list of options.

We took the train from Copenhagen (central station) to Svendborg. It was actually a train to Odenese and then once in Odenese we got on another train that went directly to Svendborg. Once in Svendborg it was a couple mintues walk to the ferry terminal to Aero.
