We are considering the following Copenhagen hotels for a six night stay in May 2026 - Hotel Tiffany, Danmark Hotel and the Motel One. They are all similarly located and priced at 300 to 400 USD per night. Any feedback or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jeanne in Chicago
We stayed at Hotel Phoenix and really liked it. Great location, breakfast.
We have stayed at two Motel One properties (Barcelona and Warsaw) and visited others in Gdansk and Salzburg.
The rooms are somewhat small (standard double room) BUT perfectly fine and functional. What we thoroughly enjoy are the lobbies and bars! They have unusual and fun lobbies, that are used for breakfast as well. And they often focus on really interesting G&Ts! For us, a visit is an experience!
You may want to look at the Radisson Collection Royal (old SAS) that’s not too far from those. It’s in the same general price range and you can get a room with a view of the city. It also has one of the best breakfasts I’ve had at any Copenhagen hotel.
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza on our last trip, it was on the way to the airport and nice.
Cheaper than what you priced, but it may have gone up in 10 years.
Hi, Jeanne (or is it Jim?), I have not stayed at the Motel One in Copenhagen but have stayed at a couple in Germany and was very happy with my stay. The rooms were adequately sized and always very clean with a nice decor. I like their breakfast, too, although it is not inclusive. I'm surprised that the Motel One is that expensive, though. I know that Copenhagen is somewhat expensive but that seems to be pricey for a Motel One. They're usually cheaper, although they're definitely not in the budget range, so maybe the price has just gone up.
If you do book at Motel One, make sure you sign up for their rewards program. It gives you 10% off if you book through the app or their website and I think you get a one-time voucher for a free breakfast after you register. It has a few other benefits as well.
I was in the Crowne Plaza this summer. Still nice, love the atrium. Didn't love the shower, but no glass walls anyhow. Decent breakfast but very busy. It's convenient to a tram to downtown and the train to the airport/Sweden. The mall nearby had a pharmacy and a "Normal" store - seems to be the Danish dollar store, good for forgotten small items, haba, snacks.
Every Radisson I've stayed in has had a fantastic breakfast. I think it's a core feature for them.
