How many days/nights would I need to see the "Don't miss" sights in Copenhagen? How many days/nights if I added "Try hard to see" sights.

Your sightseeing targets would not be the same as mine. I rarely skip any art museum, for example.
A rule of thumb that often works well is to assume you can see two major indoor sights per day and might have time to squeeze in one or two quick stops at something like a church or a small market. Take at look at Rick's list and see how many of the places he favors sound interesting to you.

Whether you want to have a full, relaxing sit-down meal at lunchtime will also affect how many days you need to complete a given sightseeing list. And as is so often the case, there are popular daytrips to sights outside Copenhagen you might want to include in your planning.
