My wife and I would like to ride all over Copenhagen on rented bikes. We are taking Rick’s recommended Hans Christian Andersen walking tour in the morning and have the rest of Saturday to see the city by bike.
I welcome routes that would allow us to see as many neighborhoods, waterfronts and monuments as possible during the day and into the evening. Please tease us with some destinations.
We have the next two days to visit indoor sights like Rosenberg Castle. Thanks
Sounds like a good idea! Bicycles are a great way to get around Copenhagen.
Visit Copenhagen have suggestions for routes, where I think you can find good inspiration: https://www.visitcopenhagen.com/copenhagen/activities/bike-routes
This official leaflet gives a quick introduction to the bicycle rules. All points on the leaflet are required by law, with the exception of wearing a helmet, which is voluntary, but of course a good idea. Note the point on how to make a left turn, which has to be done in two stages.
In summer, Bike Mike Tours has a 2 p.m. Saturday tour (except the first Sat. in July looks to be fully booked). I loved my outing with him, fun and interesting. I'm pretty sure his shop also rents bikes so you could do the tour then rent a bike for the rest of the day. https://bikecopenhagenwithmike.dk/
