I will be traveling to copenhagen for 7 days, and also considering an overnight to Gothenburg and some days trips from Copenhagen. Would those who have purchased one or the other recommend purchasing Rick Steves’ Copenhagen book or his Scandinavia book? My worry with the regional books is that they are less specific than the city books. Thanks in advance!
I believe tht the RS "Snapshot" books, ie Copenhagen, are just the applicable chapters from the full Scandinavian guide book. Check the publication date to see which is newer.
From the Scandinavian guide book catalog web page:
Should I get any of the Snapshot guides for Scandinavia in addition to
the Scandinavia guidebook? If your trip includes an excursion to St. Petersburg, which isn't
included in Rick Steves Scandinavia, the Snapshot: St. Petersburg,
Helsinki & Tallinn guide is a worthwhile buy. Otherwise, however, the
various Snapshot guides for Scandinavia are simply excerpted chapters
taken directly from the complete Rick Steves Scandinavia guidebook.
From the Snapshop Copenhagen catalogue web page:
Publication date: July 2018 (excerpted from Rick Steves Scandinavia,
15th edition)
