What is the easiest way to get to from Copenhagen airport to Malmo? Cab? Train? We are forced to stay one night in Malmo, because the only hotels that are left are two expensive or a hostel. There are 7 traveling a we will have lots of luggage.

There are direct trains every 20 minutes and it takes 20 minutes. Cost for one is 89 DnK, about $13 US.
There is also a Family ticket for up to 2 adults and 3 children for 144 DnK. Don't know all the details about what constitutes a child, or what the ages of your group are. I also don't know taxi costs or sizes. Probably takes 2 taxis for 7 and lots of luggage. I imagine you would also have to pay toll cost both ways.
There are passport controls to enter Sweden now.
