Commune from Malmo to Copenhagen

One more question:
We'll be staying in Malmo, Sweden and will visit Copenhagen & nearby cities for about 5 days. What is best & cheapest option to travel daily to and from these cities?

Thanks

There's a train that runs between the two...I know that there is also a bus that runs from the airport and I'm sure there is also one from town. It isn't very far.
I CAN tell you that a taxi will cost you around $200. I had a major travel snafu going to Copenhagen from Stockholm and ended up at the Malmo airport in the middle of the night and it was the only way I could get to Copenhagen. Ugh.
Do you have to stay in Malmo? Copenhagen is much more interesting.

We do plan on visiting Copenhagen and since we have free accommodation in Malmo, that's why I try to find out a less expensive way to commune daily between the 2 cities. (Train cost 15€ o/w quite $$, bus is cheaper but takes about 1 hr)
Is there some kind of pass we can get to save some money?

Thx

The train costs 89 Dk kroner for a one way trip (about 12 euro). There is no pass that would make sense for you, only monthly passes. The cheapest option seems to be the Gråhundbus http://graahundbus.dk/999-koebenhavn-malmo-centrum
A return ticket is 100DK kr and you can get a 10 trip pass for 400kr. Payment is in cash to the driver in either Swedish or Danish kroner. Note that the currencies are not the same and the exchange rate is different.

Oops..my typo error for 'commute'...

Thx Morten for your info & tips..
So bus will take about 1 hr o/w vs train 30 mins o/w between the cities, right?!

Yes, and the bus is not very frequent, looks like there are only 4 departures a day each way. The link I posted has the timetable, It should be understandable, even though it is only in Danish/Swedish.
The train runs all the time.

Just found out there's a jojocard which offers discount (10% & 20% off if use app) which can be used between the 2 cities. It's like a prepaid card & can use for bus, train or metro.
Anyone familiar with it? Is it worth to get?

I am not familiar with the Jojo card, but it looks like a good option. With 20 % discount it's never going to be cheaper than the bus, but the trains are a lot more convenient, since they are both faster and run more often. Just be sure to check which trains it is valid for, since Sweden has several train companies. I learned the hard way once, that your need a specific ticket to hop on one of the SJ high speed trains.

Thanks very much Morten for your advice & tips...
It's always good to have a local that can help and give advice. I may need more help as I continue to plan my trip to Denmark in late August..😄
