Cold Plunge and Sauna

I love cold plunges and would like your favorite spots.

I don't, so I really don't have a favourite spot. But Denmark has plenty of coast line, as well as a couple of lakes, so there are many options. Where in Denmark are you looking for options?

I will be in Copenhagen. There seems to be a few spots but I would love suggestions based on experience. I will be in the city for Christmas week.

There are a few spots as you've noticed but I can't offer any opinions on them based on personal experience. Sorry.

I only just saw this question, so if this is in time and any help, we stayed right by the coast, just south of downtown Copenhagen this past September. We didn’t do any swimming. but did take walks on trails along the beach areas, and there were lots of others around, too.

There’s a Metro stop at Amager Strand, between the airport and downtown. From there, it’s a 5 minute walk to the Amager Strandpark beach, with changing rooms on the north and south ends, and pedestrian bridges to get you farther from shore, if you don’t want to stay in closer.

So while I didn’t jump in the water, that’s where I probably would, if I did. I did t notice any sauna nearby, but there are many restaurants, groceries, and even a gelato shop along the coastal street.

Had a plunge. I enjoy cold exposure for wellness so had a dip at Kalvebod Bølge. Other Danes were in the 5 c harbour swimming and plunging. It was a highlight of my trip for sure.

We loved our NYE treat at Sofia Bathhouse. 95.00 USD for 2.5 hours of sauna, steam and hamman plus bubbles and chocolate, This was heaven. It is an old historic bathhouse that I do recommend.
