Closures coming

In case you haven't heard:

(Hollywood Reporter) The Danish government said Friday it would close cinemas, theaters and concert halls, as well as restaurants, bars and museums, for at least four weeks in a bid to break a new wave of COVID-19 infections being driven by the highly-infectious omicron variant. The proposals, announced by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, have to be approved by the Danish parliament’s Epidemic Committee before going into effect.

Omicron is spreading rapidly throughout Europe. Unfortunately, it’s probably just a matter of time before other countries follow suit until more is known about the severity of this strain.

When I saw this headline I thought "Which ones buttons? snaps? velcro? zippers are my favorite when they work."

If that’s what the Hollywood Reporter wrote, they have misunderstood a few things. Yes, cinemas, teatres, concert halls, museums, zoos, aquariums, amusement parks, etc. (pretty much most cultural offers) will be closed. Restaurants, cafés, bars and the like will however remain open, though there will not be any servings after 10 pm and they have to close by 11 pm.

Another thing to note for potential travellers is that seat reservations and “corona passports” will be required on InterCity and InterCityLyn train. Corona passports will be required on long distance buses.

The Epidemic Committee have now approved all of the government's proposals, and the new restrictions go into effect Sunday morning at 8 am.

This page on the official website coronasmitte.dk give a full overview of the new restrictions. It doesn't seem like they've gotten around to translate it to English yet, so google translate is your friend.
