Bus in Odense

We will be staying in Odense Aug/22--5 nts. We will purchase a Tourist Bus Pass and use the bus to visit family about 3.5-4 km outside the city. I checked the bus website and there are stations relatively handy at both ends, but I cannot find out how late the buses run. Does anyone know how late the buses run? We would need to ride from Bredstedgade to Petersmindevej. Also wondering if there is 1 more station after Petersmindevej that gets us closer to our destination, or is Petersmindevej the end of the line?
Other options are bike rental, but apparently it is very very dark on the road leaving our family's home, so riding back into Odense after an evening visit is not really appealing. Ride share or taxi is also doable in the evening, but in the interest of saving $ hoping the bus will work.

Schedules and other information can be found at https://www.rejsiodense.dk How late would you need to travel? I haven't checked the schedule but can probably expect the buses to run pretty late.

Bike rental is not a bad idea, it is not that far after all. Odense has good bike infrastructure and bikes have lights.

Yes, thanks, that is the website I checked. Looks like it runs fairly late, but the stop is 1.2 or 1.6 km from their home. They live in an allottment garden home, and my understanding is it's quite dark, (no streetlights). I'll check to see when the sun sets there in August. I'm just trying to figure out if we need to rent a car while we're there, but don't think we do. I prefer public transportation, cycling could work and ride share or taxi is not exorbitant.

No, you don't need to rent a car. And there might be other bus stops as well.

If it's Søndergårds haver, I can't see why you would be worried about lack of streetlights?

Okay thanks! Our son (who worries about his dear "old" parents) thought it would be dark, but I'm pretty sure it will all work out. Walking 1.2 km to a bus stop usually isn't a problem for us, nor is riding a bike, but I'm nursing knee problems that hopefully are remedied by August. We won't bother with a car unless we just want to rent one for a day to explore Funen a bit. Thanks for the tips.

Yes it might be dark, but does it matter? I admit that I might be a bit biased, living in Sweden where it gets dark in the winter (although the summers are amazing when it doesn't get dark at all), but what is the problem with darkness? Rental bikes will have lights.

But if walking back to the bus stop in darkness seems scary, you can always take a taxi back.
