Ascension Day in Denmark

We fly into Copenhagen on Thursday, May 25th. Does anyone know what will be closed: Stores? Restaurants? Museums? will we be able to pick up a Copenhagen card at the airport that morning?

It is a public holiday, so a lot of businesses will be closed, but not everything. Since many people have the day off, many museums will have special events, but check the websites of the individual museums you plan to visit.

I will be in Copenhagen on the 25th and plan on visiting the National Museum that day. From looking on their website, they will be open on Ascension Day, but I'm not sure about the other museums. I would visit their websites and checks on closing dates. From looking at other websites, it seems like most museums and sites are only closed around Christmas and New Years.

You should have no problem picking up the Copenhagen card at the airport :)

Unlike Christmas and new years, where people tend to celebrate at home, Ascension Day is just another day off for most people, so people tend to go out more and things like museums and restaurants will be more busy.
