We're planning on being in Copenhagen over Easter. Currently we're planning to visit Fredericksborg Castle in the morning before catching a canal cruise in the afternoon and walking around Torvehallerne in the evening. I haven't seen anything that would impact doing so. I wanted to know more generally though, will there be parts of Copenhagen impacted by Easter? I know in some countries it can be a big deal, but was unsure of if it would be in Denmark. Can anyone provide insight on if I need to alter plans or plan around anything?
Expect a LOT of people. Not only are the schools closed, but Tivoli just opened after the winter. But apart from that I wouldn't expect any problems.
There will be more people than usual, but that's about it.
Note that most stores are closed on public holidays (Easter Public Holidays in 2023: 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th of April). Cafés, restaurants, museums, attractions, etc. are generally not affected - if anything, it's usually the opposite, and they extend their opening hours.
Thanks all. I appreciate the feedback.
