Ærø in September?

We are planning to be in Denmark at some point during the first two weeks of September and are considering a trip to Ærø. Does anyone know what we might expect in terms of things being open? Thanks so much in advance!

High season normally ends end of August. The near states of German tourists are then finished with school summer vacations; also this year.
