We will be in Copenhagen for a day via cruise on July 11. We have 9am-5pm. My question is, what would you recommend we see and do in such limited time? We are 4 adults and 2 kids(7,8) we are very interested to see Hamlet's Castle and game for pretty much anything...... I was thinking about Tivoli, canal tour and roundtower maybe. Your thoughts please? Much appreciated, as always!

Kronborg, the castle from Hamlet, is not in Copenhagen, but in Helsingør, so thats not realistic with your time frame. A harbour tour, The Round tower and Tivoli are good options with kids, but beware that you could spend a lot of time in Tivoli.

With kids Tivoli is the obvious choice...all of you may also enjoy Rosenborg Castle...it has a lot to see inside and the royal jewels are in the vaults underneath.

If you are in Rosenborg Castle in the morning, you (and your kids) might enjoy following the Royal Guard when they march through Copenhagen from Rosenborg Castle to Amalienborg Castle - starting around 11:27.
