Looking at accommodation in Copenhagen Tripadvisor traveller rankings, I’m very surprised to see only one hotel with 5 dots (or whatever they’re called). Hotel Nimb. The same seems to be true of bed and breakfasts. There is only one B&B that is 5 dots but it doesn’t seem to have reviews past 2017. We usually always book 5 dot places when we travel. (Not referring to price but quality). Maybe we’re putting too much stock in TA reviews but Booking and Google reviews seem to be similar to the TA ones. Has anyone looking for Accomodation also noticed this. We love small quiet inns/ hotels and would probably to keep under 3,000 DKK if I understood the conversion correctly. Any personal recommendations appreciated. 3 nights - summer - quiet area but not too far off the beaten track. Maybe reviewers are overly picky. But I feel very confused.
I have not been to Copenhagen, but plan to visit in mid May and June.
In general, I don't trust TA reviews, since anybody can write them. Google is a little better as one needs a cell phone number to have a Google account. Booking.com only allows their customers to review their listed hotels.
TA reviews are really subjective. As stated not only can anyone post them, but there are companies that some hotels hire to post fake reviews.
Booking.com reviews are more trustworthy. Google slightly better than TA.
What I do is search for specific things, throw out the 5 star and 1 star reviews--usually just a single problem with one star and more fake 5 star--and look at the others (2,3, & 4).
Right. Look at at and see how many of the 5 dots have reviewers with just a very few reviews. That tells me someone is spending their time generating multiple reviewers.

Thankyou for these responses. If good friends celebrating a special occasion were going to be visiting the city for the first time, enjoyed walking, exploring and being near the centre but not right in the midst of the bars and action, where would you suggest they stay? Could you recommend any specific properties? Thankyou.
