7.5 Hour layover in Copenhagen

Hi All!

We are debating on booking a return flight to the states that has a 7.5 hour layover in Copenhagen. Would there be enough time to check out some of Copenhagen? How is the security/customs at the airport there? If this is doable any recommendation for places to see, explore or dining must tries (my hubby is a chef who loves trying out new food)

if this is not doable we will likely take a flight with a shortly layover later int he day.

Thanks in advance!

You ahould check your Airline to see how early they require youto be at the airport. However the security at Copenhagen Airport is usually very efficient and the city os only 20 minutes away by Metro. You could take the Metro to Christianshavn, check out the neigbourhood and it's canals, climb the spire on the Church of our Savior (Vor Frelser Kirke) and walk down to Copenhagen Street Food on Papirøen (paper island) for some interesting food. Then walk across the new pedestrian bridge to Nyhavn (basicly the picture on every other postcard from Copenhagen) and grab the metro back to the Airport from either Kongens Nytorv or Nørreport, depending on how much time you've got.
