48 hours in Jutland

I would be interested in your comments if you’ve been there.

I’m getting excited about the mini-vacation my husband and I are taking after our Best of Scandinavia tour, but we don’t have that much time. We plan to stay in Ribe 2 nights, this would be a Tuesday to Thursday trip.

We are likely packing too much in, but we live in Seattle, so it’s not like we get to Denmark all the time. We will be renting a car from CPH.

Ribe:
Wander around the old town.
Fanø:
Wander through Nordby, ride a Blokart on the beach,
Wander around Sønderho, maybe go to a museum, have a nice dinner.
Billund:
Lego House!
Probably don’t have time for Legoland, but I’d like to go. I went there in 1988, and have fond memories.

Anything else you’d recommend? Anything special happening on Fanø on my birthday, Wednesday July 22?

Thank you.

That tower is very BIG, a Corten version of something we went to last month: https://malahatskywalk.com/
I wish it had a slide!

I think we’ll need to plan another trip to Denmark to see so many of the things we won’t do this time.

Don’t miss the cathedral in Ribe - in many ways the centerpiece of the town.

Vadehavscentret is a good choice if you’re into nature - they also offer organized tours you can book.

We are just back from our trip to Billund. I can't say enough about Lego House. It was beautiful. It was like watching Lego Masters but so much more. If I could do it all over again, I'd allow two days at Lego House, just to go slowly through it all. The main activities close at 4pm so if you have scheduled a special meal, plan for as close to 4pm as possible. That way you don't miss out on enjoying the exhibits and activities. I can imagine that if you didn't have much time at all that you could schedule their Mini-Chef lunch/dinner experience and check out the store. That would be better than nothing. Wishing you a great time.
